The Grange Collection is an amalgamation of Jonathan Ling’s personal collection of mechanical musical instruments and exhibits from the former ‘Mechanical Music Museum’ at Cotton in Suffolk.
Alongside the automatic instruments is the ex Granada Slough 8 rank Wurlitzer theatre organ. Several other cinema organs in the collection are in storage and will, over the years be rebuilt and join the Wurlitzer.
The collection is open on the first Sunday afternoon of the Month between Easter and Christmas, when the automatic instruments are demonstrated. The Wurlitzer is featured on those days by the principal organist David Ivory (shown in photo) and a team of local players.
