Sad News has reached us of the planned closure of the LTOT Heritage Centre at Peel Green at the end of this year. The reasons include lack of volunteers willing to help, increased costs and reduced income resulting in the fact that running of the centre is no longer viable. The LTOT will however continue with their Wurlitzer at Stockport Town Hall which itself is undergoing repair work due to water damage from a leaking roof. More details including an update 29th September that shows will continue until the end of March 2026.

Exciting news from Ian Midgley:
“The reopening of the Bowness Royalty is scheduled for Saturday evening, 14th June with a Beatles Tribute Band. I will be playing our Wurlitzer for the arriving audience from 6.30pm. Then the next day on Sunday, 15th we will be holding the first of what is hoped to be a monthly Sunday Tea Dance from 2pm! The monthly Tuesday Concerts should be resuming in August along with the odd Silent Movie.
The organ now has a new fully functioning relay from Sonic Services. The front of the stage has been opened up with just black material covering it so the volume of the organ has increased by probably 50%!”
