It's hard to believe that here we are over half way through the year with concert organisers busy engaging guest organists to appear at our concerts next year, 2011. With the popularity of many of our "stars at the console", early planning of concerts and the booking of guest organists is essential.

One such organist is the ever popular "Nicholas Martin" whom we had the pleasure of welcoming as guest of the day at Fentham Hall on Sunday 4th July, along with parents Janet, Roy and Nicks son James.
Needless to explain, many members of the Nicholas Martin fan club joined our regular monthly audience for a concert of excellent music played in true professional style including everything from Noel Coward to a nautical flavour with the famous "Storm" bringing the concert to a close.

His programme included music and styles representing all moods and tastes which when combined with wit and good humor contributed to a most enjoyable afternoon greatly appreciated by the assembled enthusiasts.

I am encouraged and delighted to note the ongoing support of our concerts by our valued concert goers whose regular visits to Fentham Hall are most welcome, appreciated and never taken for granted. Why not join us for yet another such concert on Sunday 1st August when Kevin Morgan takes control of the Compton as guest of the day. A Concert not to be missed!

Concert days are in general, the only occasion when we have face to face contact with our concert visitors and members, "social chat", such days encourages the open exchange of views and comments which I readily welcome,
