Catherine was born in 1982 and completed her A' Levels at Leicester Grammar School. she completed a MSci. Physics degree at Imperial College of Science and Technology in London and graduated with first class honours.
Her introduction to the theatre pipe organ was in 1992 at the age of 10 and in 1993 when she won the 'Dean Herrick Award'.
In 1996, she won the Junior Division competition sponsored by the American Theatre Organ Society to find the International Young Theatre Organist of the Year and was the only young woman in the history of the competition to win all three divisions: Junior, Intermediate and Senior in the years 1996, 2000 and 2001 respectively.
In August 2001, she was voted 'International Young Theatre Organist of the Year' - the only female performer from the UK to be so honored and within days of winning this award, she was informed that the Cinema Organ Society had voted unanimously to present her with the Ian Sutherland Award which is given periodically to a young British theatre organist who displays "outstanding talent and potential".
Catherine has played some of the finest theatre organ installations, including the famous Wurlitzer in the Blackpool Tower . She has also been awarded several scholarships by the American Theatre Organ Society. She has undertaken a concert tour of Germany, two concert tours of Holland and her proudest moment was to perform in concert on the wonderful 4 manual 37 rank organ in the Plummer Auditorium, Fullerton, California to an international audience at the ATOS Annual Convention in 2002.
In January 2004 she released her first theatre organ CD which was recorded on the 3c/9 Wurlitzer organ installed in Neuadd Pendre, Tywyn, Wales.
